4. Consent & Permissions

Upon submission, members give consent to allow their photographs to be redistributed, reproduced, or displayed in any way the administrative staff at The Longshot Photography Contest chooses.

If we deem a member to be in violation of the rules and/or disruptive to the contest and/or its members, we reserve the right to revoke membership. We further reserve the right to remove a member for any reason, with or without notice.

Only amateur photographers may submit their pictures. We encourage professional photographers to give comments, advice, and tips to amateur photographers; however this is a contest for AMATEURS ONLY. Professional photographers, please be considerate of amateurs and do not post your work here.

If you are concerned with your status with this contest, please feel free to contact Jenn Dehert at jenndehert@thelongshotphotographycontest.com and discuss your standing. She will gladly help you to decide on your status. Not everyone who sells pictures will be considered 'professional' for the purposes of our contest.

Please do not submit photographs that are otherwise up for sale, or that have been sold in any context.

5. Code of Conduct

When you join the LongShot Photography Contest, you agree to abide by the following code of conduct. If this code of conduct is violated you may be banned from the contest at the discretion of the Administrators.

6. Winning Photographs

There will be 3 placings.

Two honorable mentions will also be chosen. The administrators vote on pictures that they deem to have outstanding merits and deserve recognition.
